A National PEO has a national sales and service footprint in the majority of US cities. They offer Health Insurance plans with nationwide networks.  


REGIONAL PEO

A Regional PEO has a regional sales and service footprint in specific regions of the USA. Regional PEOs also offer Health Insurance plans with nationwide networks. 


NICHE PEO

A Niche PEO can have either a National or Regional sales and service team. Niche PEOs are focused on specific industries like Staffing, Construction, Car Dealerships, and so on. Niche PEOs are experts at the needs of the specific industries they serve.

The National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) is The Voice of the PEO IndustryTM. PEOs provide payroll, benefits, regulatory compliance assistance, and other HR services to small and mid-sized companies.

The Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC) is an independent nonprofit corporation that is the official accreditation and financial assurance organization for the PEO industry. ESAC is managed by a board of directors that includes PEO industry attorneys, CPAs and independent directors representing more than 100 years of combined PEO industry regulatory experience. 


CPEO

The Certified Professional Employer Organizations (CPEO) are a result of The Tax Increase Prevention Act of 2014, enacted Dec. 19, 2014, requires the IRS to establish a voluntary certification program for Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs). PEOs handle various payroll administration and tax reporting responsibilities for their business clients and are typically paid a fee based on payroll costs.
